Ajay Kumar founded Jakhu Construction & Drywall to bring a more hands-on standard of finishing to Vancouver Island — the kind where the person who quoted your job is the same person who walks it when it’s done.
That means every site is set up to be worked cleanly, every coat is checked before the next one goes on, and every job — from a single patched wall to a full commercial build-out — gets finished the way we’d want it finished in our own home.

Jakhu Drywall was founded on Vancouver Island with a simple idea: focus on drywall exclusively, build a crew that takes pride in every coat, and treat every job — big or small — as if our name depends on it. Because it does.
We don’t sub everything out and disappear. The owner is involved in every project. We show up when we say we will, we communicate with the GC and homeowner throughout the job, and we don’t leave until the surface is right.
From single-room repairs in Nanaimo to full commercial builds in Courtenay — we’ve worked across Vancouver Island for over 15 years, building a reputation one smooth wall at a time.

Based in Nanaimo, we travel throughout Vancouver Island for the right project. No extra travel fees for most areas.
